Privacy Policy

Plain-English promise: we collect your information for one reason — to find it on data broker sites and get it removed. We never sell your information. Selling people's data is the business we're trying to remove you from.

What we collect

Free scan requests: name, email, phone, and city you enter in the scan form.
Customer intake: name variations, current and past addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and date of birth — used to match your broker profiles accurately. A copy of government ID only when a specific broker requires it for a removal, and only with your knowledge.
Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
Basic site analytics: aggregate, non-identifying usage data.

How we use it

To search data brokers and people-search sites for your profiles.
To submit opt-out, deletion, and suppression requests on your behalf under your signed authorization.
To create a dedicated email alias used only for broker removal correspondence.
To send your exposure report, progress updates, and (for monitoring members) re-scan and quarterly reports.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We never use your information for advertising profiles or share it with data brokers except inside a removal request you authorized.
We never publish your information.

Sharing

We share the minimum identifying details necessary with a broker when submitting your removal request to that broker (that's how removal works). We use service providers for hosting, email, e-signature, and payment processing under their own privacy terms. We disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your intake information while your account is active so monitoring can re-scan and re-remove re-listings. You may request deletion of your stored information at any time by emailing support@zapmyinfo.com; we will delete it within 30 days except records we must retain for legal or accounting purposes. Signed authorizations are retained as proof of the requests we submitted on your behalf.

Security

Access to customer information is limited to the people performing your removals. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the care we'd want for our own — this is a privacy company.

Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information and to opt out of sale/sharing (we don't sell or share). Contact support@zapmyinfo.com to exercise any right; we respond within 45 days.

Children

Our service is for adults (18+). A parent or legal guardian may authorize service for a minor in their care.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll email customers before the change takes effect.
